Judika Sihotang is one of the Top Solo Male Singers in Indonesia.
He is known for his powerful vocals and emotional performances, which have gained him a significant fan following in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. Judika’s music style is influenced by wide range of musical styles and genres.

Born in a religious family in Sidikalang, Dairi, North Sumatra on August 31st, 1978. Judika has spent his childhood singing in Church. Knowing his own potential, he started to form his own vocal group with his brother and his two friends while they were still in elementary school. The three have succeeded to perform at 5-star hotels in their hometown, Brastagi. At age 8, Judika and his brother Tiroy was introduced by indonesian television TVRI as child prodigy for their own musical talent.
First champion at the North Sumatra level and third at national level in Bahana Suara Pelajar in 1993.
Judika participated in Bahana Suara Pelajar in 1993. He was lined up as the first champion at the North Sumatra level and the third at national level. Growing up, He studied accounting in STMIK Bina Mulya but he decided to leave his education to pursue a professional career as a singer. He has participated in many competitions, both national and international levels. Taking part in Asia Bagus talent show in 1998 in Singapore, Judika won second place and formed a vocal group called Antero Boys which was consisted of Asia Bagus participants. This group appeared on all national television networks.

Antero Boys

They have won the best performance at the Golden Stage International Festival in Bucharest, Romania. And accomplished to perform acapella in both international and national events.
Although the Antero Boys was successful overseas, well known as an acapella group from Indonesia that has eliminated other participants from 23 countries in an international scale of acapella competition, they still had to take a regular job as cafe singers in Jakarta as their career was unstable.

Indonesian Idol Season 2

Judika decided to join the second season of Indonesian Idol in 2005. With his powerful and husky voice, Judika managed to win second place after Mike Mohede.

The beginning of his official career

Entitled as runner up, in 2007 Judika released his first album called One. Through his song ‘Bukan Rayuan Gombal’ and ‘Malaikat’, Judika’s name has skyrocketed. He has explored the entertainment industry and was awarded as the best newcomer actor at Indonesian Movie Awards 2009 through his role in ‘Si Jago Merah’. Apart from that, he has also acted as supporting roles in several feature films such as The Tarix Jabrix (2009), Crazy Love (2013) and Toba Dreams (2015).
In year 2010, Judika released his second album Setengah Mati Merindu. Two of the songs ‘Setengah Mati Merindu’ and ‘Aku Yang Tersakiti’ have not only been a catch in his own country, they have also successfully occupied the number 1 RBT chart in Malaysia. Through this achievement, Judika has received the Multiplatinum Award from Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. He was lined up as the Best Male Artist, in Anugerah Planet Muzik in 2013 for the song ‘Aku Yang Tersakiti’.

Judika x Mahadewa

‘Past to Present’ is a special album by Judika and Mahadewa that features some of Mahadewa’s most popular hits and showcases Judika’s powerful vocals. The album was produced by Sony Music and Republik Cinta, two of the biggest music companies in Indonesia, and was released in 2013. It continues to be a fan favorite and is a testament to the power of music to create something truly special.

Judika released an album titled Mencari Cinta which presents 15 songs. One of the songs has successfully touched many souls and has become the word of mouth in 2013 right after the album’s release.

As the song ‘Mama Papa Larang’ speaks about his own romance with his beloved girlfriend Duma Riris Silalahi, the forbidden love story between the two has brought success to this album and led Judika to be awarded as the Best Male Artist at the Inbox Awards 2014.

Approved and Officially Married

Later on, the song Mama Papa Larang has also succeeded to change Duma’s parents mind and approved their daughter to get married with the top solo singer Judika. After dating the beauty pageant titleholder Duma Riris Silalahi for six years, Judika was finally able to marry the love of his life. The couple got married right on Judika’s 35th birthday on August 31st, 2013. Their marriage is blessed with two children named Cleo Deomora Sihotang (born in 2014) and Judeo Volante Sihotang (born in 2016).

Coming back with an album The Best of Judika in 2015, his melancholic pop-rock song ‘Jadi Aku Sebentar Saja’ became a hit.
He was one of the singers who received the title KRH (Kanjeng Raden Haryo) Kencana Ningrat from the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace, Central Java in 2015 as he was considered to have a major role in preserving the culture of Nusantara through music. On January 2016, Judika was appointed as coach in The Voice Indonesia with Agnez Mo, Kaka Slank and Ari Lasso. He was also an expert in Rising Star Indonesia for season 2 and season 3 with Rossa and Ariel

DUET WITH SITI NURHALIZA

After going through 12 years in the music industry, Judika was lined up as one of the judges for Indonesian Idol in 2017 and consistently takes part of it. Two melancholic songs, ‘Jikalau Kau Cinta’ and ‘Jadi Aku Sebentar Saja’ released in album called JUDIKA in 2017 has become a hit and managed to reach millions of listeners on spotify. In the same year, Siti Nurhaliza chose Judika as one of the Indonesian musicians to collaborate for a song entitled ‘Kisah Ku Inginkan’ with her and won the 2018 Anugerah Planet Muzik for Best Collaboration Category.

The 2019 Most Popular Drama Series Soundtrack

Judika released a single on June 28, 2019, ‘Cinta Karena Cinta’ which is adapted from Nicholas Tse’s “Yin Wei Ai Suo Yi Ai”. The song reached Billboard Indonesia Top 100 as a number-one singles and was chosen as the theme song for Indonesian drama series Cinta Karena Cinta. It also won the 2019 Most Popular Drama Series Soundtrack in the SCTV Awards.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Judika released an album ‘Teruslah Berharap’ which was produced by himself with his independent label Dua Anak Deo on December 2021. The album was inspired by the pandemic situation, and the song ‘Bagaimana Kalau Aku Tidak Baik-baik Saja’ was inspired by the Korean television series Crash Landing on You. Within 10 months, the album sold 580,000 copies and went multi-platinum.

Established his own Record Label and Talent Management company

Now, he is one of Top Solo Male Singers in Indonesia and has gained significant fans accross Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. His dream is to make talented young people to reach their dream and become the future stars of Indonesia. Therefore he has established his own Record Label and Talent Management company called DUA ANAK DEO.
